Ekklesia Leaders Vision Meeting // Jan 2020

What does maturity look like in 2020 for Ekklesia Leaders?
Developing Leaders vs. Passing on Responsibilities

Signs of Bad Leadership
A lack of responsibility
A lack of mentoring relationships and preparing a new batch of leaders

We must go from a culture that passes the baton of responsibilities to a culture that develops leaders along the way.

What should we look for when praying and looking for someone to invest in?

  1. The Person
Is this person a son/daughter of the house?
Is this person serving and submitted?
Does this person live by the values of EKKO?
    Does this person serve?
Does this person have stories and testimonies?
Does this person have the heart of the pastor?
  2. The Potential
Does this person have potential for leadership?
Does this person possess the desire to serve?
Does this person respect the church, leadership and you?
Look for signs of character, not just charm.
    Doesn’t gossip or slander.
Offers help with time and their talents, not suggestions and opinions only.
  3. The Prune-Able
    Is this person open?
    Is this person teachable?
Do you have relational currency with this person, so that if crucial conversations are needed, they are not easily offended?

What to Ask Yourself
Do they have the pastor’s HEART?
Do they have the values of the HOUSE?
Do they possess a spirit of HUMILITY?
